I am scoliosis.

To be exact, Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS).

Scoliosis is a spinal deformity consisting of lateral curvature, rotation of the vertebrae and a flexible or rigid deformity in the frontal plane.

But the exact pathophysiologic mechanism for scoliosis is unknown.

Prevalence of AIS is 2%~3% in children 10~16 years of age.

In females tends to progress more often.

I want you to know____

・the fact that there are such disease.

・the fact that there are patients and families who suffer from anxiety.

Even so, everyone is fighting positively.

I am one of them, and I want to be that.

Because____

毎年6月は国際的な側弯症啓蒙月間にあたります。

SNSで「#Scoliosis awareness month」などと検索すると、多くの投稿が見つけることができます。

まだまだ認知度の低い側弯症。

啓蒙月間のような取り組みがキッカケとなり、側弯症に対する社会の理解が深まればいいなあとつくづく思います。

僕たち、私たちの、ほんの少しの発信が社会を変える大きな一歩となりますように。
